Thinking about his design of the Driscoll Chandelier, Clarence Mallari notes that nature is so generous in the shapes she provides as inspiration. Made of metal that has been treated to a polished nickel finish, the thin ribs that make up the frame hold an off-white shantung shade over which a delicate vine rises. The lines of the silver chandelier prove that a resolute material like metal has its delicate side when the design is carefully conceived.
