A Midwest native perennial whic forms rosette of 6-10 inches across. Flower stalks develope from the center of the rosette and rise to 5-10 inches tall with a umbel of three nodding five-petaled red-purple flowers. Unique feathery pink seedheads emergre by late spring. Forms low ground cover through rhizomes.
