Pycnanthemum muticum, Clustered Mountain Mint is a clump forming, aromatic perennial that naturally occurs in most of the Eastern half of the United States. Given the right conditions, this plant will spread by rhizomes; if spreading is not desired you can prune the roots in the spring. This mountain mint sports leaves that are more ovate than others of the Pycnanthemum genus, but they possess the same minty aroma. From mid to late summer the foliage is adorned by clusters of small pink flowers.
